General OLD Fiats you've owned??

I have only had 2 fiats myself as im only 21......

1998 S reg Punto 85sx 16v 5dr- Great car, quite nippy for a 1.2 and great for me being 18. Loved that car but i bent the valves and bought.......

2005 05 plate Punto mk2b Active sport (in rare doo wop turquoise). Lovely looking car with the right mods. Its my new baby.

My parents have had a few Fiats in the past.

1988 F reg Uno Turbo i.e in red (cant really remember much about this car as i was young)
1989 G reg Tipo 1.4 DGT (my personal favourite of the lot) Metallic blue with digital dash was cool when i was 11 yr old
1992 K reg Tipo 1.4 i.e s in white. Had white hubcaps, enough said
1994 L reg Tipo 1.4 i.e s (facelift) in silver. Ex demo.
1995 N reg Punto 55sx 5dr in exploit yellow- cool colour when new
1998 S reg Seicento SX in light blue- was meant to get this as my 1st car but circumstances changed
2003 53 plate Stilo 1.8 16v Dynamic 5 door in crystal green with almost every option.. (Sky window, sat nav, phone...................)

My little list of motors since my driving test:
fiat 128 3p 1978 THN639s Silver- went like the wind, but rusted as quick
fiat 128 3p 1978 THN595s blue- not as quick, but was a nice car
fiat 127 1050 -bought to put engine in and sell on for some strange reason
fiat 128 3P -red PWH527S- rstored this one, sold it 3 years ago to chap in Ireland
Fiat uno 1.3 turbo ie F366 167bhp missile, owned back in 1994
Fiat uno 1.4 turbo white G plate mk2, much preferred mk1 to this standard one
Fiat uno 1.4 turbo K Red, had this 5 years, seen it on ebay several times kevved to the hilt, shame as it was a nice car.
Fiat uno 1.3 turbo 1988 F white, mint and subtly modified 160bhp, back to my youth- (my current toy!)
Fiat uno 1500cc circuit racer another current toy with over 170bhp

If you look at all the above, with the exception of the 127, they all have one thing in common!!???? Yep, the single overhead cam engine! What a fantastic and often under-rated engine!! What other 1.5 sohc 20 year old engine can give you over 170bhp!! I'm 36 now, and bet I'll still have the old sohc engine in some sort of fiat when I'm 86!!!

I used to have a 2 litre supermirafiori in metalic silver, with rostyle wheels.

nice comfy car with close gearbox and loads of torque.

timing belt went and it forced the dizzy drive thorugh the side of the block, i replaced the engine with one from a 132, but it was never the same.

shims to adjust the valve clearnaces ! what joy.

ah happy days.

I still own a Fiat 124... Thats Called Fiat 118 NE (NE - Nissan Engine).. I love this car... It has a wonderful smooth gear shift, not to mention its suspension - the best in Indian Roads... She is very solid and sturdy .. the confidence I get on Indian roads is tremensous...

Attached is the pic of Fiat 118 NE.. This is not my car.. I will post my car's pic by Start of December when I visit India and take her snaps..

Sorry Forgot to attach the image in my previous reply

Started off with Alfas in my youth but then due to insurance and running costs now on Fiats.

So far:

Alfa Giullietta X 2
Alfa 75
Lancia Delta 1.5

Fiat Tipo TD
Fiat Marea 75 TD SX Weekend
Fiat Marea 1.8 ELX Weekend
Fiat Stilo MW

Plus a few VW's that were overpriced, underspec'd and unreliable in comparison to the Fiats(n)

Been through a few, first job was at a fiat dealers so got the bug from 16! here they are in order of ownership:

1986 Panda 1000S red (bought off my grandad!)
1987 Uno 70 SX 5 door dark met grey (loved it, nimble, got nicked)
1987 Uno Turbo ie white (crashed it, doh)
1989 Tipo 1.4 DGT dark met grey (gotta love the dash! p/x'ed at 208k miles)
1997 Fiat Marea 115 ELX 4 door that odd silver/beige colour (thirsty)
2000 Seicento Sporting red (definately not thirsty)
1992 Tempra 2.0SXie SW met red (treated it like a skip, un-killable!)(y)
2000 Fiat Marea 130JTD HLX 4 door met orange (disappointing)
1989 Panda Sergio Tachinni dark met grey (impulse buy, now for sale)
1989 Uno 70 SX 5 door met blue (re-living my yoof!):slayer:

Of the lot, it the uno 70SX's i rate the highest, followed by the Tempra! the Marea diesel was the worst of the bunch, the most unreliable thing i've owned.

New Old Fiat Panda 1980's x 2 - both Tomato Red
New Fiat 126 - Hearing Aid Beige
New Super Mirafiori Sport - Metallic Pastel Blue
New Mirafiori (chocolate brown body and gold velour interior) Very Starsky and Hutch LOL (parents really)

After getting my hearing back from the X19 I bought a Mini, then fitted a loud exhaust :slayer:

i brought a 126 de ville in orange rally red about 13 years ago god could it rust! sills , doors , wings , front panal, roof , yes roof! no first gear no keys! did 50,000 miles in it over the next few years sometimes towing a trailer best £80 i ever spent(y) oh wait stop press my dad just reminded me its still in his garage languishing in silent decay.

First car was-
Uno45s in black , then
Uno 45, blue
6 Panda 4x4ś (embarrassed many ´greater´ 4x4ś in the mud, handled on the road after the front camber was sorted)
(alfa romeo alfasud, red)
Croma (2ltr basic, blue)
Tempra 1.6SW (black)
Tipo TD (white,- fast, handled badly and cack brakes...)
(lada riva) (fiat 125 in disguise?)
Fiorino, white - would have another as a ´parts chaser´ if I had the room...
currently have;-
900e (aka amigo) -blue, mot´d, but off the road...(awaiting tipo engine transplant.)
127 mk3 900 comfort, blue -(awaiting engine and rust repairs.)
127 mk2, 1050 sport- black shell, painted yellow, needs recommissioning.
Also a ulysse TD in blue, but itś not old, and not really a fiat....;)
