Technical oil temp

hello

my oil tempreture on my 99 sei sporting 1.1 is quite high at like 90 odd autodata says it ment to be around 60ish i have resently changed both coolent and oil and tbh the car just smells hot i dont have a temp gauge or anything i had some kinda of temp reader in it at college not to long ago

just wondering wat promblus this can be caused by and how to sort it or if it will b ok

i would say,get a coolany temp gauge plumbed in(even if its a temp fit)
to see what your coolant is doing

oil temp on most cars is around 90 degrees in fact engine oil temp should be a minimum of 82 degrees if it doesn't reach that temp then any water from condensation does not evaporate from the oil and the engine just turns into a moyo machine

As alan helen says. It's not uncommon for the Cinq tubs to run at 115 or so even with an oil cooler.
