Technical Oil Leak

Hi Guys

quick question, If the oil filter has not been replaced correctly or is faultly would it leak oil?, As i have had service done on Friday and i have noticed that it is leaking oil, It was not leaking oil on Thrusday or yesterday before i took it to be serviced

Take it back to them & ask them to rectify it.

maybe its due to the old one being taken off (the old oil running down the sump).

you always get a bit of oil run down the sump when you take the old filter off
maybe the garage was to lazy to wipe it off ? if so it should stop in a couple of days.

Ide be damnd if i would wait a couple of days either take it back or get under there and check it out yourself because when the engine/oil/lubrication system is running its under pressure and if there is only a small leak around the filter oil loss could be significant in a few days so SORT IT

I have put some cardboard under neither to some how much it is leaking, i did have a look under there earlier and notice that this oil residue halfway along the car. I am guessing that not good
