Hi, i have recently bought a 1998 fiat sei 1.1 abarth, it is a pretty tidy car except there is oil of somesort leaking from two places. (or could just be one but making two puddles).
One runs down the gearbox side of the sump and makes a mess of the sump, i have researched to try to fully understand and the most common answer was that the rocker cover needed replacing, is this correct?

The other appears to be coming from the gearbox itslef, and i could not find a conclusive answer, any ideas?

I will clean the oil and try to find where it is coming from tomorrow when there is light.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Fiat have redesigned the cam cover gasket and works alot better.
The gearboxes tend to leak oil out of the breather on top.

Check the oil level in the box, the hole is in the front face.

Smell the oil in the box and try to match the smell from the leaks to see where your second leak is from.

Cheers
