Hello, Forum Fellows! This past Halloween, my Sport died on my son while he drove. No clattering sounds, no sounds of damage, just overheating light, other code lights, steam under hood, then 'errrrrrrrr', just rolled to stop. A rash of OBD II codes appeared:

P0456 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (very small leak)
P0326 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Range/Performance
P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input
P0122 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch “A” Circuit
P0222 Throttle Position Sensor/Switch B Circuit Low Input
P0444 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Open
P0198 Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction.
P0113 Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction.
P2244 Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

I had it towed to a mechanic. He said no compression, Head Gasket blown, needed new engine, saw no need to bother with codes. $9000 for a new engine, $6000 for a good used engine. Argh.
Some details here, from later driveway examination. The car cranks but doesn't start. The oil level on the dipstick was WAY high, so I started drawing out some oil and...
.I found the milkshake! Oil in the coolant. No coolant on the dipstick, on the oil cap or in the motor.

I'm hoping that some of you may be able to offer some insight into my Sport's problems.

Thankss,
]John
