I think a good engine should not spit any oil out of the dipstick hole with no dipstick. Gas blow-by from the cylinder can increase the pressure in the oil sump causing the oil to spit out of the dipstick. With no blow-by this will be less of an issue, so I reckon. Would not like to try though.
