Right story as follows
Was a good idea to replace some spark plugs have now turned for the worse. I replaced the spark plugs on my 899cc engine with B. Super 4 ones same as the normal spark plug that has 1 contact but this have 4 on each spark. Great I thought, no it didn't - put them in and the engine was struggling very hard it was very rough (Leads are in the correct position in the correct firing order). So this made me nervous, so I put the old ones back in (still a little rough but no as bad). I however noticed on driving on the old set that the car struggles in picking up speed in the 1st few mill seconds then its okay, this happens on very gear change.
So off to Halfrauds, another new set as the same set as the ones I orginaly had in the car, okay still little rought but alot better than the super 4. Now new problem, its rough still has there is alot of burning/carbon on the b.4 spark (it was BLACK) - so put in opitmax to clean it out. I hope its working as I filled the tank up last night, travelled 40 miles today and its used 1/4 already!
This is not right, pete - is it the timing that is gone? - if so, what costs am I looking at though FIAT?
