Jeeez, ive been looking at a few pics of bravo's at the bravo-guide.co.uk and ive seen quite a few people have put Noz pumps in the boot!! How much does all this cost wire up and refil?? Has the majority of people here fitted exhausts, air filters and super chip as standard..... im startin to feel left out!!! (xmas has gone, but the New Year aint wooo hoo!!)

A nitrous kit costs thousands and will melt your motor in minutes.

Dont even think about it.

Re: Re: Noz

YAWN

A nos kit will cost you around £300-£500 and won't melt your engine
Get an answer about this from someone with it fitted not someone who drives a Honda.

Re: Re: Re: Noz

WHAT? RORY DRIVES A HONDA?

Oh, I remember, it's an aRse type.

Mark.

It won't melt your engine, just your wallet. You will pay a small fortune for insurance and most wont let you use it on the road.

It is road legal ONLY if you are insured to use it on the public road.

In the USA it is not road legal at all. (although that may vary from state to state)

Re: Re: Noz

In an Hgt 155 you could easily get away with an 80BHP shot of nos with no worries its when you put too much for the engine size it struggles the say a 2.0 20v can easily handle 100bhp just dont get greedy and keep upping it 100bhp shot then 120 then 140 then 150 then its gona die. If you are sensible its totaly safe.

Re: Re: Re: Noz

the smaller jets 25,50,75 bhp are fine and dont really require upgrading other parts of the engine (used prop they shouldn't do any harm... prog nos controllers are suggested as they ease in the power).

More complex ecu's dont like nos BMW, AUDI.. it just F#*$'s things up. except to pay up2 £850 for a prof install (get it done right... this aint no induction kit mod!)

Re: Re: Re: Re: Noz

Speak to Nikki - She has has NOS on here 155 HGT :)

Mr Al.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Noz

It IS legal to use Nos in the UK, as long as you declare it on your insurance (more and more insurance companies are insuring Nos), as long as you display a sticker saying compressed gas (the green diamond shape one).

After speaking to NOS (Nitros Oxide Solutions), they claim that a 2.0i engine can take upto 175bhp of Nos as long as you use a progressive contoller, 50bhp if you don't. (1.8i 150bhp/75bhp, 1.6i 125bhp/50bhp)...they recommend not using the standard (off the shelf) kits on engines smaller than 1.6i, but can provide a "suitable solution".

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Noz

Daz, there is no legal requirement to display the compressed gas symbol.

Really you should have that AND the oxidising agent symbol on the car :)

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Noz

I'm only going by the details supplied in the E-mail from NOS (and an almost identical E-mail from the Wizards of Noz)...

...Please pardon my ignorance, i bow to your superior interlect :)

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Noz

:)

As I said, its advisory. There is no requirement for me to display the compressed gas symbol when I move my welding gas in the car/van and thats at 3000psi.

Re: Re: Re: Noz

Look anonynous posters and Mr Sabre - I keep telling you, if rub me up the wrong way, I will revert to my old standards.

Think about it then go to bed, if you keep yawning.

It's obvioulsy too late for you.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Noz

Oh Mighty Sabre - And yours is a "Little Prick", like it's owner.

You abuse me - I'll abuse you.

Savvy?
