Not flashing?

Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help with my little problem.

Today the indicators on my '97 HGT stopped flashing. They come on, but stay on. It affects both sides and the hazard lights.

I looked in the handbook to see if it would tell me where the flasher unit was but it doesn't mention it.

Any ideas?

mate i sure the flasher unit is in the fuse box down by steering wheel

Thanks mate, at least I know it has a separate one now! Any idea what it would look like?

I checked the indicator fuse and that was fine.

Just in case anyone gets the same problem the flasher unit was under the steering wheel. 3 screws removes a cover and the flasher unit is the orange box.

Its a push fit with 3 contacts, just pull it back towards the steering wheel and it pops out.

Mine was sorted by simply removing the cover and fiddling with the bimetalic strip. Works fine again now.

Many thanks ! I had the same problem and I followed your instructions and 'fiddled' with the metalic strip thing and my lights are now flashing!!!!!! Thanks again.
