Hey everyone, nice to see a dedicated fiat forum online: got a question if anyone has any ideas!
5 or 6 times now over the last few months my punto (2000 Wreg) has failed to start AT ALL when i turn the key in ignition. Engine not turning over - nothing- just a click sound then a buzz coming from the engine electrics i think. My instincts led me to believe the battery may be failing so got that changed. Didn't stop the sporadic problem of the non start though.
Here's the strange bit:
After engine failing to start, i get out of car leave it for 5 minutes and come back and nine times out of ten it starts (needs me to pump the gas for 5 or so seconds otherwise it will cut out).... Only problem is, this time it won't start at all.
I think it may be the starter motor is stuck or solenoids... what do you think? Bear in mind it has been sporadic although this time it looks to be 100% kapoot!
