General Noise when pressin clutch

Got an 00plate 2.0 jtd when i press the clutch in i get a noise and then press it further it gets even louder,when driving get a spinning noise when changin gear if i dont come off the acc fully,its quite bad until i get upto speed.
Any ideas????

Was thinkin along them lines or spinner as the noise is like metal to metal when clutch is pressed,got it booked in for nxt tuesfay for a replacment clutch for 200quid all in so not that bad just hope it lasts till then.

Got a phone call from garage sayin i also needed a new flywheel as it was goosed,went down to have a look and looks like its gona now cost me 480quid for a replacment clutch and flywheel fiited well guted.
Seems an okay price as priced parts up and cheastest i found was 380quid so 100quid labour does not seem that bad.

What did they say was wrong with the old flywheel, not a part that usually gives trouble, how many miles has it covered? I am a sceptic anyhow, make sure you see the old one!

It has started to breakup they show me still in situ and there was a load of play in it,they have had it for 3 days now but still not finished the job!!!thought it was only around a 3 hour job lol.
Went to pick it up and they said the clip is not lockin into the flywheel so when u press the clutch in the pedal stays depressed and the clip comes away or somethin along them lines,also mentioned that most clutchs press in to release but this does not it pulls out.
seems like they dont do many jtds,hdis etc vans done about 227k now so prob due one.

Quick update to a 4 day clutch and flywheel replacment.

Just picked up the van after a phone call from the garage,went to collect and upon talkin the boss found out it took so long as there was a fault with the first clutch they ordered.
Found this abit odd so with further questions he slipped up and said the first one they ordered was a recon clutch,then when it came to payin wanted an extra 40quid as the one fitted was a new one but shot that down with the reply i ordered a new one not a recon clutch.
I am now happy with the clutch as its light as a fearher with no noise just a shame it took so long and the fact they tryed to cut corners as ive used this garage many times before.
