Alright everyone. i have a cinq sx900cc
now here is the list off things that has gone wrong with it
firstly about 2 months ago it conked out on me and would not satrt agin. anytime i tried to start it the code light came on and there was a repetitive buzzing/tapping noise coming from the ecu. (well not sure if it is that, its the box of tricks on the right side of the engine)
well anyway sent it to the garage and the diagnosis was that the earth starp had broken and the starter motor had died!

well this is my new problem, drive along the other day and i noticed that the car was running hotter than usual! as in when i accelerated i could see the temp rising!! and it drop significantly when i decelerated! now here is the strange bit i dont understand! when i turned the car off i caught a glimpse of the orange code light flicking on, now from my other experience i knew that the car would not satr agin. which it did'nt! and now the same noise is back at the rights side of the engine!
i have a feeling the head gasket is gone! but i just need the damn thing started so i can get it to the garage ! any suggestions!
pushing does not help either! and the battery is fine too!
any idea what the noise is or how to fix it temporarily will be greatly appreciated!

i would like to say i can hear the fuel pump working but the starter is not doing anything! and there is a the damn buzzin noise its like a hyperactive indicator!

i know its said that i keep replyin to my own post but there has been a development on my situation. there is no oil in my engine cause it has drained itself onto my driveway!

The fact that the temp guage was moving relating to speed would suggest the voltage regulator is fubared. This could have been caused when the earth strap sheared, causing a spike in the electrical system.

cheers

Grumpy old git going fast downhill rather than downhill fast!!

ECU might be damaged, I'd get it checked ASAP before it goes completely. My old 899cc went like that, then the injector stayed open flooding the engine and then the intake. In the end it cost a Fire Brigade callout to clean up the fuel spilled on the road (came thru the air intake, manifold was filled), £350 for new ECU and a new earth strap.

the earth strap is still in place. the oil ihave been informed is comin out of the rocker cover! or something like that! is was told it was a lost cause! fed up witht the car now anyway! it has cost me so much! thanks for the help though!
