Technical no wipers!

just managed to get myself off the m62, after my wipers died on me, and the gritters were out! is getting them going again an easy job for someone who knows nothing about it? any ideas would be gratefully received!:idea:

Have you checked the fuse? That's your first check

Are the front wipers dead in every stalk position? slow , fast, flick wipe etc?
Were they ok to start with ie not going slowly?
Did they end up in the park position or did they just stop anywhere?
