Grande Punto No remote key fob

Hi. Ive bought a 2007 punto and it hasnt got a remote key fob just a key but it doesnt lock all the doors only the drivers door also the button inside doesnt lock the doors either. Is it possible that a fuse has blown or does it need a remote fob?

Welcome to the forum.
Even without a remote fob, the button inside should lock all the doors, as should the physical key. Do the doors auto-lock above ~15mph?

You can set it in the menu on the car, usually this is disabled as far as i know.

CENTRAL LOCKING should be just that...
1 lock triggers the rest

Boot release working??

Anything else not working.. leccy windows??


Failed wiring at door hinge is a possibility..

Locking from passenger door...?

Just the 1.. or does it trigger rear doors?

Could be as simple as burnt motor(s) or defective hinge(s) wiring ... They all share the same fuse.

I had my car 10 months before I found the fob in the driver's door pocket! Any way the key I had would open and lock both the drivers and passenger door (I have a 3door fiat) if key is used in driver's side, but would just lock/ unlock the passenger door if used on passenger side! Hope that makes sense.

The passenger side hasn't any buit-in switch to tell the key is activated, while the driver's one does ...
