Hi guys, just picked up my audio setup for the punto. Now i have a kenwood headunit, mutant active sub, wiring kit and everything i need, i know how to wire it and iv come to a dead end, my headunit has no RCA outputs. So im buggered and wondered if there is any way around it. i thought about taking the front left/right speaker wires and soldering a female RCA jack on it and doing it that way but will it work?

Thanks, sorry if its the wrong forum!

Thanks!

are they standard converters or have some kind of circuit to filter it somehow? im a DIY guy like to make my own stuff haha! i only need ti for the sub as im not hooking up an amp for the rest of the speakers.

EDIT: just looked on the website, is it a line output connector?

just looked on the mutant amp on the sub and it has Hi and LOW imput, low being the RCA, HI being some other connector. i think i will simply try and hook the rear or front L/R into it, all im concerned about is blowing it up as the rear left/right will have speakers on it.

i used the RCA preouts when i used to run a mutant amp, didnt bother with the little hi wiring loom.
Go instore and ask Ripspeed, The staff usually helpful.

Thanks for the replys. it seems its a high to low level converter. Does anyone know if halfords stock these? or where i could pick one up from.

Thanks

il ring them up im sure the auto department might still be open.

Thanks

aparently i didnt need the converter as i can just use the high line connector on the back of the sub, so iv wired it up, its powering up and the sence wire is turning it on/off but havnt got any sound other then my regular speakers so im trying to find the fault.
