no more work.. odd!

Today was my last shift working as a chef, as i'm off to uni next saturday. It feels odd, having enjoyed working there for a year - and now ive finished. Methinks i'l have to get a job at uni, going from a fulltime job to being a student bum isnt going to go to well - i've got rather used to buying what i want when i want!

I need to start packing for uni now, and sussing out what i need. Any suggestions of stuff i might forget?

The one thing I always suggest to people to pack is a memory box or bag. Believe me when you get to uni and are left standing there alone in a strange town knowing no-one it is a pretty miserable time (until the parties get going !). So the first thing you want to unpack is a box of favourite posters, ornaments, trinkets and photos, spread around your room to remind you you are still loved and the grotty room isn't really that grotty but is home for you for the next year .

Of course there are also things like toothbrushes and underpants but they're not important

Ahh student life... I am going back to that after a year in the big smoke (aparently thats what they call london) Haven't saved any money, and am also going to be saying 'would you like that supersize or regular' how depressing. Hopefuly it'll be a beer filled, cheezy room, night on the pull all year round... may be not, apparently you have to work in you final year!

My advice.... spend all your hard earned on beer in the student union, and don't attend any first year lectures (except if your doing something medical).

i've got a lot of silly things to put around my room - and a lot of pictures, but many are digital - time to get some prints done, its not the same having them on the comp rather than the walls!

Toothbrushes and pants? they sound far too sensible to be thinking about! Spending money on beer, i can cope with that - shame my loan doesnt cover my accomodation and tution fees! :'(

Things to take...hmm..Beer, good choice.

I personally didnt bother with those things like photos of mates, I just populated my walls with various posters nicked from around campus and other nicked stuff
I just emailed them and spoke to them when I remembered or wanted a chat with different people...

Yuve got a kitchen...sod putting one in yure room, thats just for the terminally lazy!
