Grande Punto no electric windows working!

HI - our 2nd car is a 57 plate Fiat Grande Punto, 5 door, 1.2L with quite (very) low mileage (32000)

Electric windows do not operate - was told switch was faulty - bought replacement switch - still not working! Can't believe both switches are at fault! Electric mirrors still operate with both switches!
Near side swith does not operate its window either! Fuses that are indicated in the handbook do NOT appear on the fuse layout diagram!

I am not an electrician! Any suggestions as to where fault may lie?

In my experience it can be three things.

1. Bad switch

2. Broken motor

3. Damaged wiring at the door

If you need any more info on either, just search on the forum, and you will be able to find a lot of posts about it!

On my GP my switch was broken and that was €30 at the local junkyard.

You're not electrician, that's not going to help much...

Let me try to explain how it works...

- power comes from the fuse box (B001 in engine bay) thru fuses (F85, F86 one for each side) and ignition ON relay (T40)
- power then arrives to the driver's switch (H044) and passenger switch (H050), thru hinge junctions D030 & D031
- from those junctions, power goes directly to the regulator (motor) by in-door wiring

Not really rocket-science. You have to think about it logically: what works /what doesn't, from wich side ?, etc ... and you will be able to narrow down where the problem is.
