Insurance is a legal requirement in most states but as a country the USA doesn't require cover...

All I need is basic liability cover as Sylvia is not worth anything and if anyone steals her it would be kinda cool to 'loose ones panda' in the US!

I'd have to say that the Morgan owners club is very very helpful.

I've now got 3 emails from them with contact details for brokers in the US that have given their members cover.

So next time you see one of those little throw backs to the dawn of the industrial age, wave at the guy shovelling coal into it. There very very nice people (well very nice to me and my little panda.... I'm so touched I may cry)

I think Donna is expecting me to say that I've a 1972 Fiat Dino Convertible that's worth $20,000....

Not a 1991 Fiat panda with a value of $50....:eek:

I've replied to her but I actually felt myself slink into the chair writing out Sylvia's value.

Just got a reply from Hegarty (another big classic and hot rod company) asking me to fill in a form online for 'Foreigners'

It's just the sender of the mail was a 'Rick Worm'!!!

Poor guy, he must of got tortured in school:D

Then it's been raining sheets so I couldn't get down to pick splutter up from the cleaners or start anything on Steves car.

When the going gets tough, the tough go back to bed with their Teddy....

I've still awaiting mails from progressive.com or geico.com but I'm not holding my breath as they're massive compainies that probably won't be intested.

It's pretty much as Jeremy Harrison of the Morgan Owners Club told me... You just can't get insurance on a single vehicle.

Getting really fed up banging my head against this brick wall
