Hello Fiatistas,
Just joined this forum to find out how I can help my 76 year old neighbor with his Ducato Camper. My experience with fiat is very limited, I have never owned one, but I do remember fixing one in the Algerian dessert around 1987, this was a Panda 4x4 with two drivers in it, both not having any ability to repair a non working engine. This was a modern engine with distribution belt, and it soon became clear that the engine would not start due to the belt having slipped a couple of notches. Luckily there was no further damage, so after aligning the shafts and readjusting the tensioner, the Panda started again....By the way, the Panda was and probably still is the lowest priced 4x4. Will look in the Ducato threads for more practical information
