Newbie with central locking problem

Hi everyone, this is my first post so please be gentle.

My wife has a 55 plate fiat panda active who central locking has starting acting weird!

You go and unlock the drivers door with the key and as the door is about half open the other 3 doors lock, then unlock. This happens every time you unlock and open the car at the drivers door.

Has anyone come across this before?

Sounds like wiring between the door and car have frayed and are starting to short, setting the central locking off.
