Hi all. Great forum BTW.

Bought my daughter a Fiat 500 2018 Lounge 1.2 petrol in Tech House Grey, as a first car to learn to drive. She loves it. Test in November so fingers crossed.

Will post a couple of issues we have had and ask for advice.

First Italian. Currently driving Q4 Etron but have had BMWs, Volvo, Kia, Ford, VWs.
My daughter is obsessed by Fiat's. Her first car so you can imagine how I have to look after it for a 17 year old.

Couple of issues with coolant leaks so will search the forum for solutions.

Has it got an expansion bottle on the wing.. Or the more commonly found sight tube built into the radiator?

DO check the thermostat hoses, sited on end of engine block.. Next to the battery

Will do. Had a cursory look from the engine bay and can't see anything that points at a leak. However, it's towards the front, passenger side behind the bumper that appears to be the source. Assuming its just hoses and gaskets thats the issue.

Noticed that the sump is also corroding so will replace that as well.
