Technical Newbie losing power

hi all just got my first fiat punto 2001 shes old but i love her or would if i could get this problem sorted she runs ok but have noticed when i stop i.e at a roundabout she loses power then goes faster this is getting a bit dangerous especially trying to get out quick on roundabouts and theres no power there any help i would appriciate she has just also had a service new plugs ht leads oil thanx x

either coil packs, spark plugs or ht leads but since you change plugs and leads could be coil packs

cheapest would be to plug it to a computer if it will show any errors instead of just blindy buying parts

Hi,

for reference 2001 would be a mk2 Punto,
Normally a faulty coil pack would make the yellow warning light on dash light up,
a poor connection / damp under the bonnet , on plug leads etc,
is almost as likely,

where are you/ the car based..?
