Rude not to plug it in and have a play with it [emoji3]

Morning K333fer, O.K., I'm a old geriatric thick sod.......but what is it ??

Cheers Qube O.

Ha ha it's a 16 pin break out box plugs in to the dlc and gives you easy access aswell as test ports for all signal lines etc you can plug your diagnostic tool in to the other side of it and still use it as normal , really really handy for scoping can faults etc

Well now....thanks for that. Must admit, I've never been tempted to access the electrics either on my Qubo or the eldest Daughters Punto. Guess I'm lucky as we have a local Fiat Main Dealer who is very good, and perhaps more importantly a Ex Fiat Workshop Supervisor who set up as a Non Franchised Fiat Specialist....the Punto (old) has had the odd dash light come on, I just run it down to him and he resets it, no charge......long may it last.
Have fun.
Cheers Qube O.

I Gota have it that's what I do for a living work in a garage all week then have my own diagnostic company at weekends [emoji3]

Got that......so what do you do for leisure time !!

Leave the electrics and fit exhausts......hahaha.

Thanks for the explanations, and best of luck.

Do you use or looked at the Pico Technology diagnostic 'scope products? The software is very powerful, it even does things like check compression by measuring the starter current. I've used their general purpose scopes and other products for years without any issues.

Thought I'd treat the tool box to new side cab to put it in [emoji3]

Well having used Pico's non automotive 'scopes for years and being slightly disapointed that the automotive test software won't work with them, I am now the proud owner of a four channel automotive kit

. Even better I only paid £117 for it

(the equivilent new kit is over £1800). It is labeled as being for LDV vans but is a standard 3423 'scope. One of the current probes is higher range than normal (for big diesel engine starter currents) but I already have a mid-range probe so that's no problem.

Absolute Bargin mate that's the one with the 2000a clamp isn't it brilliant for seeing the initial load as the starter hits the flywheel
