It does look smart in the red I have to say. Still a huge fan of the mk2 though personally.

Thats gonna be the mk3 I think. I dont think they'll ever improve on the mk2's design, even if I do say so myself.......so who wants to buy mine??!! lol

one day id like to own a mk2 HGT, but the likelyhood of that is little as I have too many other cars on the list, e.g Coupe, X1/9, another Cinq Sporting again, Hyundai Coupe, MG Metro Turbo (as a track car), Ford Capri... the list goes on.

The Punto is a good fun car, much more interesting than other rivals and better value. Its just sometimes there are small niggles that put people off buying them. If I was to get another Punto, it would be a remapped mk2.5 HGT Multijet

mk2s r the best. the newer 1s are just a bit horrid and the lights have a wierd bit added to em.

I do prefer the mk2s looks but the facelift version has grown on me, I used to really hate it when it first came out!

same with me wolfrace but still pre-facelift for me. looks sportier.

I used to think Seicentos were ugly when the came out in 1998. changed my mind though.

Personally I'd love a Mk1 Punto GT. Ideally the last GT3 version with the black alloys (like the ones on my Punto ) and a bit more power. I like the headlights on the Mk2, and it's a good looking car, but I prefer the Mk1.
By the way, the Mk3 Punto will share it's chassis with the next generation Corsa so it'll either be a bloody good Corsa, or an incredibly crap Punto. Place bets now!

t'was in AUTO EXPRESS, and to get the whle car, ur going to have to put the pic of the shell together with the other one to get a whole car :S

Not bad it seems looking at those IMO, looks about 10 different cars in different places but a lot of cars are like that. I.e. 206 on bottom pic, front looks a LITTLE like KA but it has more of a stilo look which is good.

Will have to see it properly before I make my mind up totally though.

I am with paul, it will look better with the other parts there, the back part looks like the new corsa

The pics off the Punto website are pretty good. Looks like the whole front end was robbed off the new Golf GTi.

Personally I thought Fiat were not replacing the Punto - that the new Panda/Stilo lineup would replace the previous Seicento/Punto - Cinq/Bravo setup, with the Idea filling in the middle gap between the old Cinq/Punto/Bravo range?
