I will have 2 TT vents spare if anyone wants them?.

I will update this when the parts have arrived and ive fitted them
Like @bluejohn125, I merely think that they look far better as standard. No car can be 'improved' by being modified.

That's nonsense.

Obviously everybody has their own opinion, but there are very few cars on the market that can't be improved upon in some way. Even if it's something as subtle as putting in chromed bulbs for indicators to remove the "fried egg" look.

We have using parts from other models in the range, such as colour coded bumpers. how is that not improving the look of a car over one that has black plastic?

Live and let live i say. I wouldn't go about calling somebodies run of the mill standard car boring as s*** (even if it's what i think), so somebody that hates modified cars in every possible way doesn't have the right to go about calling any car that has any kind of mods chavvy or ruined. You might think it, that's fine, but for goodness sake, keep your negative opinions to yourself or at very least try to put them in a constructive and helpful way.

Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

Considering as well, a lad near where I live has an extremely modified corsa and it's probably the tidiest corsa I've ever seen, a corsa B to be exact, made into a GSI running a 2.0L engine. The thing is immaculate.

Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

Sorry guys just looking at whats been put I disagree subtle mods aint a bad thing what so ever. Isn't the whole point of modding your car to make it how ypu think it should be ? To moddify isnt just slapping a big bodykit on it it is to change the car I.e lowering it, tinting windows. To say keeping the car standard is rubbish my stilo has arbarth clocks which imo has give a major improvement. My 17" wolfrace black wheels give it a better look than standard alloys. Making my grill gloss black and front badge from the standard blue to colour coded and tinted rear lights as well as fly eyed head lights has had a lot of likes off people who see it so bluejohn125 and puntofan wheres the bad side in that. Sometimes people who dont do mods and bitch at people are either scared to move from there comfort zone or dont want to spend the cash. Im 34 and hone through a lot of modify scenes from big kits with neons under there cars to the subtle mods my corsa b was highly modified so Punto Lew if you want to modify you car buddy go for it imo. So if im ranting but the car scene is all about making a statement with your car and making it your own

Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

Think they will go with the colour of your car mate cant wait see the pics of them on when done

Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

fingers crossed haha. Im sure they will.

Ive ordered some DTM mirrors with indicators too. The stock ones that came with the car are in a bit of a mess. The glass one side is broken and the the other has been held on with sealant haha

Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

Did some more Photoshopping. I genuinely think Wheel trims can look good until Alloys can be afforded etc. (y)

I agree with some previous posters. The black bonnet/roof was too much. I think this looks :yum: ;)

Ignore the haters do what makes you happy and make your car look how you want it to.
Im liking the new photoshop apart from the dtm/m3 mirror personally they only look good with the Base plates smoothed onto the car.

Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

See I think the black roof will suit with the theme your going for and the photoshop looks great if your wanting that way. Ive had them dtm mirrors before they do look cool but restricted my veiw when was trying to see things at times but others say they had no problems with them

Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

I really hate bad boy bonnets they are very much from the 1990s and I remember having many friends back then who wanted them. I think it would look a lot better without the bonnet mods, I do like the overall look though.

Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

Not a fan of the bad boy bonnet (very 1990's VW) or the wing mirrors, standard sprayed ones would look much nicer.

Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

Ive found a bonnet that is only a subtle Bad boy. Looks way better than how I shopped it haha. It only slightly covers the lights.

On a more annoying note. My Heko Wind Deflectors arrived this morning. And this is how they were delivered -

How frustrating!! :bang: they weren't packaged that great from the seller tbh. The ends should of been padded up.

Oh bugger ! Mine came in a quite big box .

Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

Same here I would be not amused if mine were like that when they arrived considering the price they cost get onto them and tell em the damage and you want a replacement set asap. As for the bonnet I quite like it tbh think the colour suits it beautifuly

yeah mine were in a long box too, but they were only lightly wrapped in some thin cardboard stuff and the ends werent sealed up/padded. Couriers are a nightmare. Ive requested a new set but packaged better, if not a refund. Lets hope that works.

Shame too because they look great on my car -

11805666_10206103120490901_577597321_n.jpg

and yeah they werent peanuts so I was annoyed when I opened them up to see that. The Seller has been great so far dealing with my complaint/issue which is good.

Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

update:

Toffee Wheel arrived yesterday to remove the rest of this black glue crap left over from removing a side strip. Tried the Autoglyms Glue remove from Halfords and it got off quite a bit but I needed something more industrial. Got out early this morning to finish one side before the very dark clouds came over. Leaving 1 side to still be finished. This so called "Summer" in the UK is a joke. I cant get out and do anything haha.

Anyway the Toffee Wheel was a pleasure to work with. Brilliant tool. I cant recommend highly enough for anyone wanting to debadge/destrip themselves. Make sure to wash/wipe/dry the area first to stop any grit going around with the Toffee Wheel and scratching the paintwork. Thats not dirt in the pics but the dust from the Toffee Wheel. I pre cleaned the area.
