Hi All

I've posted on here a bit but never had a fiat, just using this place for research really which was very useful.

but on saturday i collected my 1.6sx marea weekend, 51 plate with 28,000 ont clock and it looks, drives liek new. it's a bloody amazing car and i just tried driving my escort estate which i am now selling and it made me realise how crap it was. the fiat is 1000 times the better car.

i only have photos from the seller but will take my own soon and set up gallery etc etc.

i didnt get a manual though, so can anybody tell me what the thing is on the back under the bumper, with the little removable cap. some sort of towing thing maybe?

will also be wanting a cd changer or my first choice would be a single cd head unit, but can only find punto ones on ebay, do they fit, i dont know as have never even seen the inside of a punto.

was worried about swapping a TD escort for a 1.6 petrol but it's better on fuel. It's done 270 miles on £25 of unleaded. that was on the motorway mind but i was averaging 80 and it was pissing down with very strong sidewinds most of the way! some diesels, well most would do better but my escort did 90 miles per £10 of fuel if i was lucky!

got some sensible halfords trims on as was missing 2, and it really looks quite good, but will be wanting some 17" stilo alloys when the time comes.

well, i already love the car and want to get to know it better so please ya all talk to me about yours, what goes wrong, how you fixed it, things to do when you get bored with it etc etc,,,i will be here a while as this car has to last a good 4 years, cant afford another!

hi chris:D nice to hear youve discovered how good italian cars are, and realised how crap fords can be(y) as for the cap in the drop down part of the bumper (you did realise it drops down i take it:D ) if you take out the cap you will see a theaded sleeve into which the towing eye can be put into (the towing eye should be in with the tool kit in the spare wheel compartment(y) ) keep on enjoying this very much under rated car(y) kev.
