General new key for doblo 1.9d cargo

hi all
new to the forum.....I bought a 2002 doblo 1.9d in May 2005. The van came with only one key...a blue one. Recently the key has been showing signs of wear and opening the back doors is becoming a real problem. I understand Fiat make a red key so you can get copies but I dont think my van has any real security ....its the basic model and so would it be possible to get a new key cut from this blue one.

No red key......keys are cut accordingly to vehicle details.

Hello and welcome to the forum

I only had two with mine, both blue keys, never seen a red key. I'm sure Fiat will cut you another one then programme it to your particual Doblo I'm not entirely sure if your normal key cutter will as I'm sure it has to be programmed, although a motor factor may well be able to help you

oops stepping on toes here am I?

Get key ordered from dealer (shoe shop repairs/cutting key shops sell sub standard keys & have many problems with them) & order a keycode card aswell (if you havent got one) for the sake of extra £3.Key is around £32.
