Hey guys/gurls... Just wondering (as ive seen various bits and bobs)

I've ordered a new T-Jet Sporting,

What should come as-standard on it?
(i've seen some posts saying 2-tone alloys now standard?)

Also, the 5 yr Warranty, can anyone confirm how it works? (2 yrs manufacturer, 3 dealer) ?

I've been told by the dealer that its 5 yr manufacturer's... i smell a bit of BS tho?

Ta..
Ben.

I have to say, im quite close to cancelling my order....

Was given an estimated delivery date of Mid April when i ordered the car (2 weeks ago) now they are saying it should be built Mid April.. not good enough in my opinion! got a meeting with the salesman, his manager, and Fiat Manager on Sunday, so will see what comes of that.

I've only had VAG group cars, I can honestly say the service received so far is terrible, I swore I would never buy another Seat due to the poor customer service... They seem like saits at the moment. Why do they make ot SO difficult for customers to buy a new car?... *sigh* :s

The dealers dont have any control over the build time so not really dealers fault tbh. So first they said delivery by mid april and now they are saying it will be in build mid april? When i ordered mine it was an 8week delivery and tbh if its a factory order its irrelivant what car manufacturer its coming from as delivery times can always change and theres nothing a dealer can really do about that. If the factory is having a shutdown for a couple of weeks(like alot of factorys are because of the global recession) Theres not much you can do really.

Its more the messing arround by the sales people / BS ive been fed..... I can fully understand the dealer doesnt have any control of the build (probably a good thing)

Things were just quicker & easier with Audi / VW.... Seat wasnt great, but it wasnt this bad....Maybe I was just expecting a bit more...

Are Fiat UK open tomorrow do you know?

would you like to join my waiting for t-jet club,
I was quoted 30 march for mine ordered on the 2nd feb and now i am told 13 april i am getting so pis@ed off with waiting and not even to be given a DATE my dealer is being as good as he can be but never keeps me updated i have threatened to pull the plug on the deal but he asures he has no control.
Come on Fiat you are pi@@ing people off and potentially losing customers is that what you need at the moment???????

let me know how you get on mate

Fiat are actually in a pretty strong financial position atm compared to other car companys atm and loosing 1 car sale wouldnt really make a huge difference to them i would of thought. Dealers are dealers, if your not happy ring up Fiat UK and lodge a complaint. Its no suprise they dont ring you back up its not very often they do tbh!
Read my previous post on the build time of the car :p

Well i've spoke to Fiat UK allready, I have rights to cancel the contract/order now if i require.

Dealer told me it was 5 yrs Manufacturers warrenty (i even asked if it was split with dealer etc, they said no)
Fiat UK's Official answer is 2 yrs Manufacturners, 3 yrs Dealer.

Will update yas more tomorrow... just writing a nice letter at the moment. ;)

Strong at the moment but customers are customers and i know off at least four people waiting and being bull sh@@ed about statuses off their new vehicle and that is not good for any car manufacturer i have complained to fiat uk and there reply was , the vehicle is being built next week, wtf , they told me in feb it would be in the uk next week. i dont mind the wait but lies are not good for me. and any business weather its automotive or not cant afford to lose customers at the moment.

How do either of us know if they are loosing customers or not though? We dont so you cant really say that they are. Built time for a Fiat is naff all compared to other car brands and all delivery dates should be given as an estimate delivery date as nothing can be set in stone untill the car is really in the country.

Exactly my point so why do they lie about it. they shouldnt give estimations in the first instant and save customers like myself and bgreatholder the negative experience from purchasing a fiat..........

Why not? If they didnt give any estimated delivery dates then you would be on here moaning that Fiat are crap because you have no idea when you will get your car. So for Fiat its loose - loose which ever way they take. At least with an estimated date you have an idea of when you will be expecting it.

You know nothing about me!! The thread starter explained of his bad experiences and i gave my opinions and experiences. You are not the only person with an opinion so stop dominating the forum with with them and let other fiat owners and potential customers have their say for once!!!!!

They are loosing alot of sales from what I can see at the moment due to sales / garages.

I know 4 people that have cancelled an order from the garage I bought mine, including a member of my family.

You would think in this climate they would bend over backwards, clearly they cant be borthered - so why should I be? ill go and help another manufacturer out that appreciates my buisness.

One car might not be alot to a company like Fiat, but, one car is alot of money to me.... If the sales are like this, I hate to think how after sales are.. :S

With mine i suppose its half Fiats problem due to not being able to give the garage dedicated dates... Doesnt explain the sales though.

Ive never said i did? But you are moaning about them changing the delivery date so im sure you would love to moan about them not even giving you one. How exactly am i stopping you giving your opinion? Im not, im just putting across the stuff imo you arent considering so

So basically its your garage that are w@nk not all of Fiat on the sales front. Can i just ask where you are getting your info on how many sales they are loosing from there hundreds of other garages?

Hello everyone,

Im having the same problem as nevstrage, I ordered my White 120 Tjet with skydome roof at the end of january and was given an estimated date of now lol!!

I contacted Fiat UK who seem very helpful and they informed me that the car has been delayed until Mid - End April  which I was not happy about, but there is noting they can do about it, Fiat have reduced there stock to a minimum which means ordeded cars are a new build, as least there is one good thing about it, our cars which are on order havent been sitting in a compound for 6 months and will be straight off the production line!!

I thought about cancelling the order too but the car is worth the wait, and in fairness to the dealers its out of there hands, we need to keep the dealers on our side so when we finally get the cars they can give us loads of goodies for such a long wait!!

Fiat are in an excellent finanical postion compared to others, and to be honest by cutting down there stock is a wise idea as this means money is not just sitting there, just put yourself in there postion would you do the same? Yes I would. If people arnt prepared to wait, thats your problem, there is no need to bitch about Fiat.

Will keep everyone updated, speaking to Fiat UK again on Monday for an update.

There are three in this thread including the guys family member i have a freind who works with my wife considering cancelling his bravo look at the fiat uk website their are members there not happy too.
TBH i think its because we are all waiting and not knowing and i am sure it will be worth the wait in the end but you have to admit the service is bad!!!

Dont get me wrong im not saying they are being good about it just imo you are getting a bit too upset about not being given a solid delivery date. Fiat arent lying to you about it if they are estimating the delivery date are they? If they are saying it will definately be done by this date and then it isnt then that is lieing.

And fair enough there are 3 in here and a few on Fiats own forum but that doesnt really mean that much as you have no info on how many people have got there cars on time and are happy.

It is the waiting that people seem to complain about, the service of Fiat UK is excellent to be honest.

Working in the motor trade myself new build delivery time is normally 12 - 14 weeks, and as these car are new builds we arnt doing to bad at the moment.

The dealers untill Mid Feb time were informed that stock was readily available, but as 09 is now here stock has been heavily reduced and subsiquently cars ordered are new builds. I will stress the dealers are in the same boat as us, they are purely representatives of Fiat and delivery times are only available to them when a chassis number is produced, usually 3 weeks after this time for the vehicle to arrive in the dealership.

Because of the times we are now in within the economy this is what is to blame, it will not matter how much you or others complain to Fiat will noy change when the car will arrive, its one of those things we have got to just wait.
