Right 2day ive replaced:
Cambelt
Waterpump
oil filter
engine oil
Coolant
and the phase variator
fit it all back together, and my god it sounds like im slapping saucepans together . . .
but the really wierd thing is that when you rev it up it sounds perfectly tuned and sounds beautiful, so im thinking maybe theres a certain way of setting up this pain in my ass variator??
i'll explain how i did it, it was all with fiat main dealer special service tools so im pretty sure it was all timed up, as the cams and crankshaft were locked up i took off the inlet camshaft pulley, the camshaft bearing end cap and took the variator off using the tool. fitting was simply that in reverse wth abit of locktite....
Any help????
