I've just brought some original Fiat twin spoke 16" alloys for my Stilo

. I will post pics when they are fitted.


Next I would really like the 3 door bumper fitted......

It's nice to start modifying it a bit now all the technical bits are done and with all the problems I've had with it

Very nice, always considered a 5 door Stilo as my next car after the Punto (3 doors get very boring after the 100th time getting the little one in and out!)

Anything else planned for it?

After the alloys i quite fancy replacing the bumper with a 3 door one. Colour coding the black strips and fitting leather seats would be nice. I would like to do these mods but i'll have to see what happens. Up till now my money has been spent on keeping the car on the road including a new engine just over a year ago!

How about cleaning the back up aswell? Maybe get rid of the rear wiper and badges?

I never really thought of that but I won't be doing that! I'm fitting alloys but then the bumper and colour coding is just an idea really. To be honest I'm happy with how the car looks

It'll look alot better once you have the alloys on.

I like my 5dr as well. 3dr front bumper is a bit different and it doesint match up with all the lines for the 5dr unless you change the wings and headlights.

Regarding the 3 door bumper, I read somewhere on this forum about if fitting one to a JTD there needs to be an open bit at the bottom right for the intercooler. I understand the ones from a petrol are closed but would it be possible to cut out that plastic section? Or do I have to buy one from another JTD?


It's only an idea so far but if I was to buy one for my 5 door I want to know the facts!

Yes you would need a diesel specific n/s/f grille which i purchased new from shop4parts

Thanks for that Sharkytaylor. So does that grill replace the one already in the 3 door bumper? Is it just a matter of cutting it out and fitting the JTD specific grill?

Hey phil,

No cutting required, just unclip the current grille and fit the new one in it's place

Did you keep your original wings and headlights or replace them with the 3 door versions?

If you kept the wings and headlights are there any obvious gaps?

I kept my original wings and headlights

There is only a small difference, but it's whether or not it will bug you

I've got my alloys (205/55/16 - original Fiat)but there are no bolts with them. I need to buy some but am not sure which ones I need. I read somewhere that you can't use the bolts from steels.....


Just to add: I've rang Fiat and they said if changing to original alloys you can use the same bolts.

Just need a new centre cap for one of the rear wheels.

Looks ALOT better you need a set of 17" blades

De wiper the tailgate and debadge it and it will look alot better
