I've decided to overhaul my ICE cause i fancy a change. I just ordered:

Infinity 652.5I comps
Infinity 6500CS
Jbl GTO6000

To add to my collection of a GT3 10" Sub, Alpine MonoBloc Amp and Kenwood crappy front comps

Will it sound good and has anyone got any ideas of a suitable install design for the boot cause i'm after as many ideas as poss cause of lack of space. I need access to the spare wheel, so that is a problem.

Also sound proofing, what can I use, will roofing felt be an adequete alternative to dynamat or brown bread. Or is it best to stick with the proper stuff.

Cheers

Gaz

Wheres the comps goin?

If your wanting a sound quality install I would just look at amping front comps and amping a sub, thats it. Just keep it simple. Dont bother with rear fill, its not a saloon or anything.

Sound deadening is best used, flashing tape is an alternative but no where near as good, I've used proper sound proofing throughout and the flashing tape on the reverse of panels to reduce creaking and rattling.

ice in the sei boot is never easy, especially if you need access to the spare. i'd make up a board for the base, and attach everything to it, then if you put the back seat down you can manouver the board backwards allowing access to the spare.

alternatively you could do some funky work and attach the entire setup to the bck of the back seats, so that it moves with the seats when you put them down, would look mental with the back seats down from the front too ;)

The comps will be going in the doors, im gonna make myself something to make the comps fit up front.

Pass. Best thing to do is get all your stuff and see where you can cram it. MDF can create a couple of shelves for more space but will also add a lot of weight to your car!
