Seicento My MK2 Seicento Project

Introduction

Heres my new project, decided to scrap my yellow sei as it was destroyed by rats in the unit it was in.

this is my 2001 MK2 Seicento S in black.

it was brought with a lost key, so decided to convert the car into SPi as then i can use a decoded ecu

at the mo ive undersealed the rear of the car under the petrol tank, fitted 5bar cosworth fuel pump in, got 866 cam, 32mm TB and remapped ecu.

the car wil be fitted with doorpoppers and electric windows later on in its life fornow im just getting the car to a road worthy state.

ive put my 60mm drop and apex dampers on back with uno turbo rear disc setup

front is currently in progress, just undersealed the inner wings and removed carbon filter, the wiring is a complete mess at the mo but car was firing up fine other wires are just for warning lights ect... this will get tidied up after ive finished doing the suspension setup, car is completely powerflexed

once its done i have mk1 seicento sporting bumpers to fit and some 14" cup wheels with 195/45/r14 rubber on.

clifford 600 alarm to be fitted along with my custom dash when i get all the mucky bits done

seats will be getting recovered in black real leather hide, with white stiching

few pics at the mo, car was completely standard when i got it but slowly modding it, ill use it this winter with normal engine in whilst my turbo lump will be built up ready for next summer along with megasquirt ecu out of my old seicento.

pictures arnt really much cop at the mo, will get some more as progress continues
Few more pics today:

fitted my 60mm springs and apex shockers + uno turbo setup and goodridge lines, powerflexed front wih ARB

just waiting for posty to bring me my new radiator tomorrow then itll be ready to fire up again and front bumper can then go back on.(y)

tomorrow's jobs (depending if rad comes in the post)

fit mk1 sei fan onto mk2 radiator
fill with coolant and run till upto temp
put engine flush in oil ready to drain oil
do filter change and oil
fit bumper back onto car
bleed up the brakes
fit aux belt onto alt and test see if alt is working
fit arch liners back in

maybee tidy up the wiring loom a bit if i get time

ermm think you have fitted the caliper upside down ? As the brake nipple is at the bottom ?

Good progress tho :D

Ming

well spotted ;) yes i have to turn them around when bleeding up andthen they get fitted back upside down again, reason beaing, my handbrake cable fits the swingarm of the sei then goes through the loop on the caliper and then to the lever

its a bitch but i dont like them the other way around as they fit perfect like this

I had like this on my cinq , when i was bleeding up i had to take them off , but i found out that when i fitted them the "right" way the brake force was better , now i just have my handbrake cable tyed to my rear arm

Looking good :D

thats the problem i have i dont want it just tied to the arms lol unless i weld backets underneath them hmmm will see

cars all back together now, new oil, new plugs, new coolant, new rad, fan now works, found out the warning lights wires for oil, battery, coolant and engine light so gonna get them all connected up too tomorrow

ill do the brakes tomorrow too

then its whip the doorcards off, change over the barrels to ones working of my key, fit amp leads, remove airbag unit and if i get bored detonate it, remove dashboard and begin wiring in my clifford 600 alarm once thats in ill be fitting my custom dash that ive had in my shed for a long long time(y)

ermm you could run the cable under the arm then it fits fine :). Obviously is what you prefer :).

Hurry up and get this running mate :D IS a long time since ur last turbo cinq is running!!!

Ming

Been quite busy today, the car was fully drivable all brakes bled up and working great, now phase 2 of the project, ripping the dash out and wiring in the electronic goodies, old dash out, now wiring in the alarm, passenger side door has now fitted electric windows, and door popper solenoid all cables are run through the rubber inside the bodywork

tomorrow i shall finish fitting the alarm and hopefully fit my customized flocked dash, spent good 6hours on it today before the dark come and couldnt be bothered to work any longer as got banging headache from soldering inside the car with doors closed as it decided to rain on and off

right alarm is now 100% fitted, electric windows working with alarm also, remote engine start all wired in correct and working, mirrors have been modified with indicators and hidden microswitches for door pops (they disable when alarm active), door latch mech has been modded so that there is no other way to open door except the door pops.

ive also fitted my customized flocked dashboard, which has been in my shed for over 2years bit dusty and covered in dog hair but ill hoover it once ive finished :)

few pics(y)
