A few years back I picked up this Marea 130HLX, it served me well and I really loved driving it, with a set of Fiat Coupe Alloys, front roll bar, intercooler and a tuning box it went like a rocket and handled rather well.
But having a few issues and the Multipla making it a little redundant it got sidelined.
It's been off the road for almost four years and the engine hasn't been started for two years.
I decided to make a video series chronicling its restoration.
Of course I will update on here with how I'm getting on with it before I upload the next part.

I'm conscious that I hate the sound of my voice so that puts me on edge lol. Hopefully as the videos progress I'll get better lol!

I have now been under the car and sadly there is a smidge of welding to do.

Take a look for yourselves here.

Been a while since I updated the Marea project.
I've mostly been collecting parts for it the big prize being a brand new crate engine!
I'd banded the idea about putting a 159 2.4JTDM engine in there and so set about using my Fiat Coupe rolling shell as an experimental chassis to try it in.
Long story short, the only way a 20v diesel engine is going in is if it were the 156 20v. I made a brief video showing how well (or not) the 159 motor sits in the Coupe / Marea engine bay!

So now I've got that out of my system I shall carry on keeping the Marea mostly original.

Here is a second video showing the extent of the corrosion
