Hi guys,

Just thought I'd say farewell to you all as I have sold my punto evo and bought an Audi a1

Thanks

so how does the audi compare to the punto evo?
am sure its superior!:D

I have to say the1.4T engine of the Audi is very nice. And the build quality is the Audi usual.
Its safe to say i not going to miss my punto evo.

Sorry guys

My experience of VAG build quality is not very good - based on two Polf's, a Polo and a Caravelle I did some driver training in this week. The window trim was falling off. As they say about some women, all fur coat and no knickers!

At least with Fiat you don't pay a premium.

There is no doubt that the Audi build quality is far superior to fiat. And the engine is so sweet.. very powerful engine too.

There is no doubt that the quality of the cabin materials used in the Audi are far superior to a Fiat. But as for build quality, ie how it's put together, I still have my doubts based on personal experience. Fiat do use components from the same suppliers as Audi, e.g. they are using more Bosch electrical items. The front Seats are made by Lear - the same as in the Golf. The brakes are ZTE, Girling or Bosch - the same as VAG.

I just dont believe the premium paid for a German product gives a premium in overall quality. The A1 starts at £13400 whereas the Mito is £12250. what you do lose is exclusivity and good design. How can anyone call an A1 attractive or the majority of the BMW range.

I always think with the design of the lights and the day light led's that Audi's look a bit like Darf Veder's helmut. Especially when in black.
