General my car likes mayo

my head gasket has gone, went down to my car this morn and saw that i had had an accident in the night, a small puddle of water. i thought it was a bit odd so i popped the bonnet and took the water cap of to find a loverly brown mayo like substance filling the water bottle.
iwill be doing the work myself parts have been ordered and will be with me tomorrow so i will let you know at the end of the day how it goes tomorrow.

dont forget head skim and new bolts

its probably one of the easiet cars to replace a HG on, and cheapest to get parts for.


nothing particulary hard. just make sure you replace head bolts aswell (if they're not in the kit, they're like £8 for the lot max).


also make sure you put the HG on the right way UP!!! so common to be fitted the wrong way up!
