Must be part of a joint agreement as the chinese would never be able to copy it that closely. Its also not popular enough to do a cheap chinese rip-off, Scenics and VWs maybe but not an oddly styled fiat.
I wonder if they have set up new tooling over in China or this might be the multipla being phased out of euro production.
Also I saw on the italian Fiat site they make a specific taxi spec Multipla, with the amount of airports being built in China maybe this will be a boom market for a few years.

Interesting stuff...
I wonder how long it'll be till almost all the world's cars are made in China, like toys and electronics etc are already, and all we'll have left will be 'service' industries.

Do you think the Multipla is now out of production? it seems to still be a currently model with no whispers of it stopping?

If the Chinese do/have started making these then think of the cheap parts availiable!!!
Yeah, and think how they will fit, with a life epectancy of months!!
Probably be made with sub standard metals in sub standard shops by sub standard labour -
(maybe a bit harsh, but I'm not a fan of crap engineering)
Lets face it, FIAT can't be bothered to make decent parts, so why would the Chinese?
