Hello again. My multi handbrake warning light keeps coming on and off. This happened on my brava and it turned out to be a leaking slave cylinder as it was leaking brake fluid.
However the multi isn't leaking fluid anywhere so I'm confused now???
Any help greatly received.
Also being cheeky asking another question but how do I take the speedo pod off? Cracked the plastic and waiting for a replacement.
Cheers people

Speedo there is a screw at the rear closest to the window screen then it all pops away from what I remember as for light check the wiring running from the hand break there is a black box connected to it witch gets crap all around it

Cheers guys I'll give that a go at the weekend. Yeah the fluid level is holding well. So it must be an electrical fault. Cheers

There is a little contact switch under the lever, pull the gaiter off and you will see it, remove switch and clean contact with wire wool and contact cleaner till clean. Then just fit switch again. 5 min job. No more warning light.

I had the same issue couple of months ago and got the above tip from a forum user here.(y)

Thx FiatFleetFamily, I came here because I was having the same problem and took my Gaiter off and the problem is from there.

I'm not the most technical person car wise out there hence why I even had to google Gaiter to see what it was.

Mines is not so much a dirty clogged up button but my car is 11 years old and the handbrake itself seems to be just a little bit lose, it is nothing noticeable but it seems even if the button is an eighth of an inch up it will make the light come on.

I will prob just rap a bit of tape round the bit of metal that pushes the button down to give it a bit more length.

These can be adjusted have a look and pull around under there there is nothing that will break unless u force it to if u wanna just tighten the hand brake there is a 10mm nut in or around the hand break tighten it one turn at a time until u find it is good for u
