Can anyone tell me the correct tyre size and is it worth upgrading from the 15''. Will it make any difference to fuel costs ?

Hi there
i have 17's on the Multipla i have at the mo. correct tyre size is 205/45.
they make it handle a bit better but the ride is harder, due to the smaller tyre wall etc.
