Technical Mulitpla 1.6 Petrol

Hi Folks

Brand new here & looking for help...

got an 01 Multi, 80K on the clock, just driving down the M6 this eve & the engine control light came on - car then started driving like a tractor, running very rough, almost as though there was dirty fuel in the carb.

Any ideas as to what this could be? Could it be fuel filter?

I had similar problem, got the car plugged in to the FIAT garage computer. Paid a lot for the read out.
Turned out to be a one faulty injector. Went to a scrap yard and got one cheap.
The Fiat dealer said the injector on the 1.6 engine failed on occasion. Mine was driven 130.000 km.

Bottom line, I't paid off to get a proper read-out from the Fiat garage, since I was much quicker to repair instead of hunting for the problem myself.

Thought I'd update...

It's been on the diagnostics, cracked coil, plug & leads gone too as well as no.4 injector....

Hoping to get it back today or tomorrow, c£400 lighter...
