Mounting a phone cradle...

Ever since the mobile phone ban came into force, I've been searching around to try and find a means of mounting a cradle for my SonyEricsson P800 which doesn't involve drilling holes in the interior of my Stilo or blocking air vents.

After a hell of a lot of searching I stumbled across Dash Mount who produce a range of adapters to fit just about any vehicle made in recent years - they are all 'non damaging' brackets and they do good range for Fiats (http://www.dashmount.co.uk/fiat.htm).

I'm gonna get mine ordered this week so will let you know if it's as good/easy as the website makes out.

It may be worth dropping them a line - they do a range of 'universal' brackets although they don't have any pictures on the website.

I'm watching a couple of pukka SonyEricsson cradles on eBay at the minute as I can't fit the P800 in the adjustable one I got from Halfords without jamming it in halfway!!!

Looks like a good idea, might get one for my Nokia 6510.

(Note: If any of you are as sad as me you'll notice that the photo for the Mk1 Punto's phone mounting is just a mirror-image of that for a left-hand-drive Punto...[xx(])

Well I got the bracket, just need to get the cradle to go with it now.

Once It's all fitted I'll stick a picture up.

If you've got a P800 just get a £10 Halfords suction cup one and fit that to your windscreen, better sited for a start! Thats how i've got my P800 setup in my Escort and the same as i intend to do with my Stilo.

Did think about a generic cradle but as I'm gonna be installing the full SonyEricsson car kit too it makes it a little more of a challenge (besides which I hate anything which gets stuck to the windscreen...)

I've installed one that mutes the radio and has an external antenna. Just to brag. Then it didn't take 5 minutes either. More 5 days of what I call "prakk".
