I onced failed a red car but that was the whole car not the exhaust, I also failed a blue car once, and i have failed two yellow cars, and a green one as well, a black car once got an advisory but i did pass it though. A white one also passed as well. All the exhausts were metal coloured though, dont really know what i would do if a red exhaust turned up, i guess it would depend on whether it clashed with the cars paintwork or not. What colour is your car?

I do recall cherry bomb exhausts being banned for some reason.

is the exhaust e-marked? it could be failed on that
