General MOT and Wipers

Hi guys, recently read on here about MOT's and sun strips..

From what I got of it, the wiper blades cannot go over a sunstrip, if they do its a fail, and also the size of the sun strip.


Now I have a black one on my car and its low, and my drivers wiper goes over it by 2.5 inches.

Now when MOT is due, wots my best best..

1. Remove sun strip ( took ages to put on and £6 each plus sponsers on it )
2. Reduce size of the Wiper blades so It doest touch sunstrip ( hope its not a rainy day )
3. Go to dodgy garage and as ask them before hand if they will just look it over....

What do you all think the best bet is, as i cannot be arsed putting it back on again after MOT.....Do they meassure them to see how big they are???

Get some dinky wipers, I think that's what a few folks on here do .

First off just realized I posted it in Bravo, Instead of Punto,

getting diky wipers will cost more than a sunstrip tho, seems to much hassle might just see if can get a dodgy MOT lol

Well to be honest, the only kind I like are black, which mine is, any other colour looks ****e.

It goes well with the theme of the car, the black strip, will match the tints and the black outer edge of the lexus lights, as well as the blacked out side indicator.

Just wondering if a dodgy MOT is the best bet

If you havwe the car booked in, ring the guy at the garage and see what he reckons and whether he would pass it or not. Only way to find out .
