I was attempting to fit the lock/handle protector plates this afternoon, starting with the rear door as that's the easiest to get at but after a successful detaching of the handle mechanism and understanding how the links and cable all work, the plate's cutouts weren't large enough to fit over the handle internal hinge and the locking mechanism at the bottom of the assembly. Grrr.. - so I took a couple of pics for the supplier and will ring them tomorrow.

So I had a bit of time and pulled off a blanking plate on the driver's side rear behind where a door would go and found 3 connectors. A 12-way, an 8-way and a 3-way with much heavier gauge cable.

The 12 way, looking at it from the socket side (as per pic) with the clip at the top had 4 wires in it
Top outsides both blue, bottom outer left is white, bottom outer right is black.

The 8-way, looking at it from the socket side (as per pic) with the clip at the top had 6 wires in it;
Top L to R - Orange, Brown, Brown, Green/Brown
Bottom Outer left is Purple/Black - Bottom Outer right is White/Brown

The 3 way had just two wires, same view, Middle is Red/Grey, Right is Black and I think this will be the rear power socket (nothing in the left hole).

I have a bits tray (2 pockets) on the nearside and a blanking plate on the offside - is there a bits tray available for the offside too and would it have a place for the rear socket? Any ideas what the 12 and 8-way connectors are for?

If this was a Qubo, are the holes in the rear quarter posts up near the roof for small speakers? That may explain one of the connectors if so, perhaps the 12-way but why would they fit a 12-way connector for only 4 wires?

I think the big holes with rubber covers will be access to the tail gate version hinge mountings?...........to small for speakers
The connector blocks.........one is used [the black one] for the towbar black box control unit,i've not long carried out this so have seen the connectors you've posted.
The other one does not seem man enough for a aux socket, ihad a meter on it that read nothing [black is live in the fiat world]
Could be for reversing sensors?
I'm sure there more connectors behind the other panel on the o/s
I love finding these mistery connectors, i f you ping your interior light off there is some there to
Is there any more? and what do they do, a hole new section could be created!

These connectors pictured are on the o/s.
I imagine that the heavier gauge connector was showing nothing on the meter as Fiat wouldn't fit a fuse to a supply that had no outlet on it so perhaps try a fuse in that slot and see if it becomes live?

I haven't prised off the over-mirror unit yet to see what's in there but I guessed there'd be something.. I will need a live supply for the rear camera (screen in the 'mirror') when I fit it so that location will be nice and close for the purpose.

There are a lode of empty places for fuses on the fuse box under the dash,i guess it's a matter of plug a fuse in and see what happens.
The connector block in the roof near interior light could be for factory alarm ultra sonic sensors and the override switch to turn them off.[which is in the hand book]
Also i think some models have auto dimming interior mirrors fitted
I never did a test on a 12v feed on that connector block, but as you say it will be handy for your next project.
What i did to save any cambus issues was to get a multi 12v outlet socket, mine has a couple of usb outlets as well and mount it on the metal cross brace under the dash next to the fuse box, i ran the supply wire from it down inside the centre console and plug it into the spare 12v socket out let, [i have 2 of them] all my bits a bobs plug into the multi socket ie, 2 phones pda monitor voltmeter/clock.

To confirm what the 'extras' on the loom are for in the roof lining behind the interior light, here are two pics of the light cluster and the motion sensors panel as fitted and also popped out. The light block looks to me like there are other things it could/should do but which are disabled for some reason. Perhaps a Qubist could elucidate on the functions in theirs if someone has a top of the range interior spec that looks different from the picture.?

Mine has two 3-positions switches for driver/pax but one side only seems to alter the brightness by the tiniest amount, the other I think is On/Off/Door as a normal choice but the fitting has double lenses, one for each front cab user yet there's only a single lamp installed. (These thumbnails blow up to a good sixe so you can clearly see the switch markings. The middle bar looks like it's a blank for another switch or function that not there. Info would be nice please!

Luigi, you say there are plenty of spare fuse slots, I'd love to know more of what they're for and I haven't yet manged to get the b****y lid right off to see if there's a legend underneath it. What if you had a vital fuse go on a dark wet night on the motorway and you have to start fiddling with taking battery covers off etc. just to gain access. What a p**s-poor bit of design that is.

Can you take a pic of your extras inside Luigi please, in particular I'm interested in the USB sockets and the voltmeter/clock. The only clock is on the display and it's not that easy to see - I'd prefer one above the console under the radio on the dash as then a passenger could see it too (without having to keep asking me what the time is!)

My Qubo Dynamic light unit looks identical to yours R-V-M but no motion sensor panel as I don't have an alarm (don't tell anyone though!). I bought a genuine Fiat one but have never fitted it.

My light unit has two 5W festoon bulbs, one for each lens - are you sure you haven't got two? Left 3 way switch does off-door-on (both lamps on and dim after door close/ignition on). Right switch is cab map/reading light - left pax lamp only, centre off, right driver lamp only. This only works with the doors closed after courtesy 2-lamp function has dimmed out.

I notice a slight change in brightness too when flicking switches but I don't think this is a design feature, it's just due to contact resistance of the el-cheapo switches!

The only other thing in that area could be a sliding sun-roof but I've never seen one as an option on any variant.

This is the aux in socket for mp3 ect and that is wired to the hu
The switch is for reversing camera override,so i can have the camera on all the time
