Technical mk2 punto engine bay needs filling

hi i have a 1.2 8v punto that blow up this week i have striped the engine and it had over heated and blow the gasget and every thing eles so need a new engine bit wont sumthing quicker so what will fit in there and what will i have to do to get it runing right thank you for ur time and help i need it :worship:

stick a 1.2 8v lump in it, sell it, then buy a faster car. it works out cheaper, and also cheaper insurance, and the vehicle will be worth more when you sell it, and you get all the spec including brakes and suspension. just buy a HGT.

i could do but the punto is a show car and i have spent lots on it flick paint gold and green alloys twin exit pips etc etc

In that case drop in a 1.2 16v / 1.4 16v engine much more and you will NEED to upgrade everything. Tbh you will need to upgrade alot going upto a 16v the Sportings brake disks are alot bigger and are vented to take the extra power. As jug said just stick in another 1.2 8v and tune it to f**k
