My front nearside sidelight has gone.

I first of all tried changing the bulb and it didnt work. On further inspection i found out that the actual holder that the bulb plugs into is badly corroded. (i tend to get condensation in my headlights, guessing this is the cause)

Does anyone know if i can just replace the sidelight holder or do i need to replace the whole headlight unit?

Cheers,
Craig

clean it up with some steel wool, disconnect everything of course and the condensation in Mk2 puntos is common put holes in the backplate and then some silica gel bags in solution usually works...

this worked on my condensation never returned. remove the back plates covering the bulbs to let air it the headlight.

now turn your head lights, fogs, main beam everything and get a hair drier and heat up the headlight evapourating the water causing the condensation(y) only takes a few minutes carry on a couple of minutes after it looks to have disappeared just in case there's any residue left.
