Having difficulty finding a decent P75 Block, only ones ive found so far either have sky high milage or have been ragged to pieces.

Looking round and plenty of mk2 1242s in decent condition i can get my hands on.

Searched and plowed through the FAQs but no mention of using a mk2 engine?

So basically is it do-able, what would need to changed; sensor placement etc?

mk2 is a mpi engine remember! so you will need to convert yuor wiring loom to support mpi. also they have a crank phase sensor in it? in the rocker cover... so you will need the ecu aswell, so you will need to get it de-coded to run with your immobiliser. tbh mate soooo much easier just to get a spi!

mk2 mpi is possible though... mabee get that but with a spi head? but if your doing that just grab a spi block.
 
hi mate if you are going to do this try and get ahold of the engine, loom, ecu, key chip, barrel ring and code box, sensors etc etc etc if possible try to get a full car and just swap the lot dont bother modding your loom its just as easy while the engine is out to swap the loom over, its what i am doing with my p75 conversion
 
is everyone sure swapping the codebox and ecu works? ive swapped my ecu with a freinds before when trouble shooting, also swapped the code box the ariel and the key and its still brought the code light up???

is there anything else thats stopping it?

and wouldnt it be better to get it wiped anyways? get a remap too lol

Hmm think he is just looking for the block ?

If he is, just use any Mk2 8v block then just use the cinq/sei head.

Yeh just going to grab the bottom end, 1108 head with a p75 cam.
maybe 1.2 16v TB with a 1.4 8v inlet manifold.

Exhuast mani though, to save cost i was thinking about using the mk2s one as its cheaper than supersprint.
Or shall i save some more pennies and buy a supersprint one?

Let me get my hands on a block in the next week or so and ill give you call when ive got it.

Order some new mounts and solid mount inserts.
Just fill em up with tiger seal :p


Why dont more people using the mk2 bottom end then?
I mean their newer and will have lower milage, why are people still using the P75 block?
P75 has more power?
