Technical MK2 clutch adjustment

My mk2 sporting feels to me as though the clutch comes up too far before the car takes up drive and if you just put the weight of your foot on the clutch pedal when driving it will slip. How do I adjust it? Is it easy and what exactly do I do? My mate said maybe it needs adjusting as tha cable may of stretched. Thanks for any help.

All mk2 punto's have hydraulic clutch - no cable, so no adjustment can be done.

Sounds like you have a clutch assembly problem - needs replacing .
