General Mk1 Replace Tail light Bulb

Hi fellas,
I've got a brake light out, so I went down to halfrauds for some bulbs. opened the boot and then.. ah, how do you take off the rear light cover? On my last car you just unscrewed it et voila.. but I can't actually see anything like a screws holding it in.

Help please :bang:

RTFM...

if u dont have a manual... there are 2 bronze bolts, one at the top and one at the bottom - undo these with the black plastic socket (aka the special tool) use a screwdriver through the holes for initial undoing and then unscrew... once the ligh fitting's off, unscrew the 4 phillips screws to get to the bulb holder..

ah, just remembered, the top bolt thing is behind a plastic cover, and the bottom one is in the hole in the carpet (same both sides...

If you aint got the tool a 19mm socket set will do the job!,and have a phillips screwie handy to remove the inner casing to get to darn bulbs!

worth inspecting the other bulbs while off too,as its a pain in the wotsit to change!

why not make it a nice job be replacing with some nice lexus lights?

if you can get the full unit off and the 4 screws that hold the bulb holder to the lights,and then change the bulb and put back together in 3 minutes then you my friend should be on TV!

oh and ease the cluster from the car dont take boltys out andthen rip it off as there is a elec plug you have to disconnect
