Mk1 Punto sporting door speakers

Does anyone know what the maximum speaker depth is to fit in the door speaker pods on a mk1 punto sporting (without modding). I seem to remember reading its a maximum depth of 50mm?

I dont think there is a problem with the MK1's. Easiest way is top measure it. Do the grills pop off at all?

yeah, i took them off a few days ago and had speaker out. I think its around 50mm max when window glass is down
