Hi again,

As some will know I have just bought a R registered MK1 Punto 60s 1.2 8v.

On the last two mornings its been really cold and icy and my engine has been a real bugger to start, got the RAC out who checked the battery (fine, only 6 months old according to last owner) and then he sprayed WD40 near spark plugs (I think), and it then started.

Could new spark plugs and HT leads cure this cold start problem and if so what sort of cost is it for a garage to replace them?

I am afraid I no very little of what goes on under the hood.

Cheers

Widdy

nows the time to start then ;) plugs and leads are easy thing to start with a set of plugs and leads will be under £25 if you fit your self, just remove and replace 1 at a time dont remove the whole lot at once or you will get confused as to what lead goes where :)
if you get a garage to do it it only takes half hour so should only be half hour labour charge :)
